Wellington is the Executive Chief Nursing Officer / Executive Director AHP & Psychological Professions at North East London Foundation Trust (NELFT) he took up his role from April 2021. At the time of the appointment, he became the only male BME Chief Nurse working in an NHS Trust and the first African male Chief Nurse ever in NHS. He is responsible for the Nursing, Psychological Professions and AHP workforce and leads on the quality, safety, and patient experience agenda for the Trust.
In 2020, Wellington made the HSJ near miss for the top 50 most influential BME leaders. He has worked for NELFT all his career since 2001 when he was a student nurse apart from 18months when he was a Managing Director. NELFT is his family.

Her passion for equality, diversity and inclusion aligns with her purpose to work alongside like-minded people driven to pave positive change, Mymy is a proud member of the Filipino Senior Nurses Association UK and an active advocate for #StayAndThrive. Mymy is Co-chair for the Race Equality Network and a member of the Women’s Network at her Trust. On 2022, she won the EDI Champion Award at the Mid Yorkshire Celebrating Excellence Awards. On 2023, she was awarded the SWU Outstanding Alumna for Nursing Practice.
She also recently completed a 12 month leadership role for International Retention for a commissioned work with NHS England – North East & Yorkshire Region.
